【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversplasticcompoundscomposedofpoly(vinylchloride),chlorinatedpoly(vinylchloride),orvinylchloridecopolymers,andthenecessarycompoundingingredientsintendedforuseinmakingpipe,fittings,andotherpipingappurtenances.Thecompoundingingredientsmayconsistoflubricants,stabilizers,non-poly(vinylchloride)resinmodifiers,pigments,andinorganicfillers.Thisspecificationisdesignedtocovercompoundsforpressurepipingapplications.RefertoSpecificationD4396forcompoundsdesignedfornon-pressureapplications.RigidPVC-typecompoundsforbuildingapplicationsotherthanpipingarecoveredinSpecificationD4216.RigidPVC-typecompoundsforgeneralpurposeextrusionandmoldingusearecoveredinSpecificationD1784.SpecificationD1784isapplicabletopipingapplicationsinvolvingspecialchemicalandacidresistance.Therequirementsinthisspecificationareintendedforthequalitycontrolofcompoundsusedtomanufacturepipeandfittings.Theyarenotapplicabletofinishedpipeandfittings.SeetheapplicableASTMstandardsforrequirementsforfinishedproducts.Itmaybenecessaryinspecialcasestoselectspecificcompoundsforunusualpipingapplicationsthatrequireconsiderationofotherpropertiesnotcoveredinthisspecification,suchasservicetemperature,sagresistance,chemicalresistance,weatherresistance,bendingforces,etc.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodssection,Section11,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1TherearenoISOstandardscoveringtheprimarysubjectmatterofthisspecification.Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisspecification.Recycledplasticsshallnotbeusedinpipeandfittingsforpressureapplications.
